Era un pueblo muy avanzado. En Extremadura podemos seguir admirando muchas de sus construcciones y en Burguillos continúan apareciendo piezas arqueológicas romanas. Puedes leer y ver en otros artículos del blog sobre estas piezas encontradas en Burguillos. Hasta que escribí el artículo nadie conocía aquí que el espárrago lo trajeron los romanos. Por ello es muy importante investigar y leer mucho sobre nuestra historia. Siempre descubrimos cosas sorprendentes. Saludos. En los restaurantes de mi ciudad, que es Burguillos, el plato de espárragos que más se prepara es el "revuelto de espárragos" (espárragos previamente fritos con un poco de aceite y ajo, y se mezcla con unos huevos). Soy mal cocinero, pero creo que se hacen así. Me gusta más comerlos que cocinarlos. Habrá que decirle a los pájaros de Burguillos que crucen el Océano Atlántico y os lleven las semillas de los espárragos a Houston, así tendréis nuestras estupendas esparragueras (es broma). Sé que estáis realizando en la clase de Ms. Aguilar un Proyecto sobre espárragos. Te voy a contar un secreto, cuando los romanos, hace 20 siglos, trajeron las semillas para cultivar el espárrago, la esparraguera era una planta cultivable. Como en siglos posteriores se abandonó su cultivo, ésta se volvió silvestre y crece sin control por nuestros campos. Los romanos, cuando llegaron a la península ibérica en el siglo II a. C., trajeron su cultura, entre ella la gastronómica. Como era un pueblo muy adelantado enseguida impusieron su forma de vivir a los indígenas que habitaban la región en la que está Burguillos, esta región se llamaba la Beturia. <br />Este año es extraordinario para la producción de espárragos, tenemos una primavera muy lluviosa y la esparraguera produce muchos espárragos.
